January 30 Update
Today, some of us found the letter Gg, tricky. We will practice!
Home Reading began today. Please ensure that you tally on the record sheet the amount of times that you have read each book. You are welcome to communicate with us how the home reading is going.
Within the reading levels we have easy and more difficult books. Some of the books that we send home, are a 'Family' reading book. For a larger class, our 'E' books for emergent readers are a little sparse. We may send home some Level 1 books for your child's home reading. I am on the lookout for more emergent, home reading books.
Tomorrow, your child will receive their very first Kindergarten report card. The report card sent home is your copy to keep. Please return the report card envelope with your signature, so that we can reuse the envelope in June.
Our gymnastics will continue until Thursday, February 23. Due to the Grade 5/6 Science projects, we will miss Gymnastics this Thursday, Feb. 2 and perhaps a day next week.
Our 100th Day of Kindergarten is coming soon! More details to follow.

As we are unable to assist every child with reading their classmates names, please do not address cards or envelopes to individual children. Also, no snack is needed just a water bottle.
Also, a huge Thank-You to all of our wonderful volunteers!

Happy New Year! It's fantastic to be back at school with everyone!
Yesterday, we sent home your child's number printing worksheet. Please practice with your child, printing their numbers 0 to 10. You are welcome to practice two digit numbers, such as the teen numbers and numbers with a pattern.
We are learning how to print our names with upper and lower case letters. Please practice this at home and once your child has mastered their first name you are welcome to continue with their surname.
This week, we are going outside for our Fresh Air Friday to observe, draw and write about Winter. Please ensure that your child is dressed for the weather.
