Tomorrow, for F.A.F. we are going to Whispering Woods to observe what new evidence we can find about the season 'Fall'. We will be using crayons and tissue paper to make a realistic fall tree.
During
the next few weeks we would appreciate your assistance with the following:
On
Mondays, please have your child bring in an object that begins with the letter of the week. In order to keep our ‘show and
share’ of letter objects manageable please follow the following list:
o October 23 Letter I - Pierce, Joel, Abel, Karthik
o October 30 Letter P - Maeve, Kais, Christopher, Aadhya
o November 6 Letter N - Adeline, Ran, Max,
- Treat Day gives the students an opportunity to purchase a treat for their snack. On treat days the students may deposit a donation of 25 cents into a container provided in the classroom. All Kindergarten students will be given a treat and we will do our best to give them a choice of treats. Our next treat day will be on Tuesday, October 24th. For Kindergarten students who have allergies or food preferences, please provide an appropriate snack for your child.
- On Tuesday, October 31 the Kindergarten class will be having a Pumpkin Party. We have some exciting pumpkin activities planned for our special day. This year, our students will be decorating a cookie and enjoying some healthy, party food. Students are welcome to come in costume, but please keep it practical for the school environment. No weapons of any sort, please!
- For many children, Halloween is a special celebration. However, we recognize that not all parents are supportive of this event. At Dr. E. W. Coffin School, our Halloween dress-up celebration for children is OPTIONAL. For those children who choose to dress-up, the following are our expectations; Students may dress-up in:
-
‘Regular’ non-violent Halloween
costume,
-
Costume that represents a character from one of their favorite novels, or
-
Orange and/or black clothing.
