We're off to a great start!
For our self portraits, Kindergarten is learning how to draw their faces and later how to use shapes to draw their bodies. Today, we introduced how to hold a paint brush and use puck paints. As this is a small group activity, some students will have their turn at painting on another day.

Terry Fox Run Friday, October 30
For the Terry Fox Run, we are practicing our running on the soccer field. Please ensure that your child wears outdoor shoes that are suitable for running. Dressing for the weather is also important!

Library Book Exchange - Wednesdays at 10 AM
Today, Kindergarten joined Mrs. Kidd our librarian in the Learning Commons for a story. It was nice and cozy in the library as everyone either had a pillow or a stuffy to hold.
On Thursday, Sept 22 and Friday, Sept. 23  Mrs. Kidd has organized a 'Scholastic Book Fair' for our students and families to buy books.
Next week for  our Library time, Kindergarten will have an opportunity to look at some books.
We will not be purchasing books at this time. You are more than welcome to shop for books during our conferences. Please watch for the 'Worth Mentioning' email from Mrs. Rennie for more details.
