We are off to a great start! Everyone is so well rested and ready to learn and play.
This week, I introduced a new 'Letter of the Week' booklet. We are encouraging our students to learn what words are, initial letter sounds in words, how to sound out words, and copy text. This new step in their literacy is rather tricky, but it's amazing how quickly everyone expands their learning. For spelling words, we are focusing on consonant sounds. Additionally, we are introducing some sight words: Mom, Yes, No as well as reading and spelling each other's names
Please take a few minutes to read your 'Letter of the Week' books with your child.
