Halloween

Thank-you everyone for your donations of food, and volunteering for our Pumpkin Party!
Everyone should arrive at school with their costumes on. You're more than welcome to come inside the school to assist your child with their costumes. After our classroom meeting, we will be parading through the school to show everyone our costumes, and cuteness! Please remember that your child is more than welcome to wear black or orange to our party. Please do not send a snack to school. We will have party food to share, and enjoy.
Stay Safe on Halloween Night

Thursday, October 24 - FAF and Pumpkins!

Today we read 'Pumpkin Pumpkin' by Jeanne Titherington. Our follow-up activity was a cut, and paste, story sequencing activity.
Tomorrow, please send your child dressed for some time outside. Soho will be here and we are planning on carving some pumpkins. Thank-you very much for your support. We do have two parent volunteers to carve our pumpkins.
This is a science activity, where we learn all about the parts of a pumpkin.

Thursday, October 31 - Pumpkin Party
Kindergarten class will be having a Pumpkin Party. We have some exciting pumpkin activities planned for our special day. This year, our students will be decorating a cookie and enjoying some healthy, party food. Students are welcome to come in costume, but please keep it practical for the school environment. No weapons of any sort, please.
For many children, Halloween is a special celebration. However, we recognize that not all parents are supportive of this event. At Dr. E. W. Coffin School, our Halloween dress-up celebration for children is OPTIONAL.
Students may dress-up:
‘Regular’ non-violent Halloween costume,
Costume that represents a character from one of their favorite novels, or
Orange and/or black clothing.
Thank-you for your ongoing support.
